Brian LaCroix is recently retired as President and EMS Chief of Allina Health Emergency Medical Services, St. Paul, Minnesota. Allina Health EMS serves more than one million Minnesota residents with 911 service in more than 120 communities.
LaCroix is the current President of the National EMS Management Association and serves as the liaison to the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada. He is Past-Chair of the Hennepin County (Minneapolis) EMS Council. Other professional affiliations include his role as Chair of the Century College EMS Advisory Board, Allina Health’s Heart Safe Communities Steering Committee and member of the Regina Hospital Foundation in Hastings, MN.
During his career in EMS LaCroix has worked as a volunteer firefighter, emergency medical technician, paramedic, educator, author, peer counselor, manager and executive officer. He has been involved with state emergency medical service development in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. LaCroix is a Fellow in the American College of Paramedic Executives, holds a paramedic degree, a bachelor’s degree in business and has completed post-graduate studies in business administration.
He has worked on extended international EMS projects in Nicaragua, France and Croatia. LaCroix is past member of the Minnesota Emergency Medical Service Regulatory Board (EMSRB) the governing agency of emergency medical service throughout the State of Minnesota, where he served as vice-chair, legislative committee chair, complaint review panel member, and representative on the Health Professionals Services Program.
