Rural Firefighting Delivering Agricultural Safety

The “Rural Firefighters Delivering Agricultural Safety and Health,” or RF-DASH, project is training and equipping firefighters/EMS to help fill this need and spread ag health and safety knowledge to farmers in their service areas. More information regarding this course can be found here and here.

Casper “Cap” Bendixsen, PhD, Director of the National Farm Medicine Center in Marshfield Clinic’s Research Institute, leads initiatives that improves agricultural and rural communities’ health and safety. This includes training rural fire/EMS as community experts. Besides research, Bendixsen has experience farming, ranching, competing in rodeo, and in the fire service.
