Dan is a 29-year veteran of Wisconsin EMS, serving currently as a Paramedic and Fire Lieutenant for the City of Madison Fire Dept.  He is also the Coordinator of the South-Central Wisconsin Regional Trauma Advisory Council (SCRTAC) and is the Operations Lead Medic of the City of Madison SWAT Team.  As an active member of the State’s Health Emergency Readiness Coalition (HERC), Dan championed both the Wisconsin EMS and the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Tourniquet Initiatives, equipping and training most EMS agencies and 10,000 law enforcement officers with tourniquet devices.  He as a passion for the ‘system approach’ to trauma care and preparedness and is excited to share this energy with you at WEMSA.
