Hazmat For Today's Responders

In this interactive class, we will discuss how to use a variety of resources to help first responders understand the hazards associated with hazardous materials; including the Emergency Response Guide Book, the NIOSH Pocket Guide, CAMEO software package and a chemical matrix, designed to quickly determine how a chemical would affect first responders. We will review street chemistry terms that are helpful for responders to know and we will also discuss some of the latest hazmat concerns that can harm responders while on calls.
