You Are Not Alone: Coping With Secondary Traumatic Stress
This workshop will assist with understanding the principles of trauma informed care (TIC) for first responders. We will explore the neuropsychological, physiological, psychosocial and psychological impact which occurs when a person is repeated exposed to trauma experiences in the workplace. In addition, topics covered will include; symptoms related to complex trauma and secondary traumatic stress (STS).
Dr. Cohen provides trainings, consultation, advocacy and counseling services for people from all backgrounds who are struggling with emotional challenges. She believes that by using integrated approaches from a trauma informed perspective we can help to heal the whole person, mind, body and spirit.
